As an author myself, I try to promote my work. I also promote my friend’s work, the one’s I met in person and my Facebook friends. I read a lot so there’s plenty of books to talk up. I finished The Future of Us by Jay Asher and Carolyn Mackler.The book is about Josh and Emma who live in a typical suburb in the mid-nineties. Malachy McCourt had a book signing at the Jackson Library a few years back. I never heard of him. I knew of his brother, Frank and the book, Angela’s Ashes, but I never read it. I’ve known Pat Pattan for a few years from a couple of writing groups we attended at the same time. She published short stories, wrote plays and published this book about a year ago.
